Artland – a house of wonders - Dr. Sauradeep Das

Not everyone has the talent to hone others talents.. But Artland does that beautifully for us students. I remember artland as my second home where I used to learn so much and be happy... And that happiness is what in retrospect made art more wonderful. From joining classes to  feeling at home and wanting to keep going to artland has been a beautiful journey... One which was all due to the guidance and teachings of Saravana Coumar sir. Artland doesn't just teach you to paint.. It makes you love every aspect of art and also teaches you life lessons. From normal classes to the summer camps we have been taught different aspect of art and crafts and with proper guidance and immense love . It gives me immense joy and pride to tell that I have been a part of the beautiful history of artland. I wish it all the best and far more glory for the future coming years. Art Land - A Journey to remember - Dr. Reshma

25 years of Artland is a perfect example for the phrase" Time flies". I am proud to say me and my brother are the first Students of Artland. Artland is not just a place to build our art skills but it's a place to mould you as a better person. The reason behind such excellent grooming of the kids in all aspects is my beloved and always energetic art teacher, Saravana Coumar sir.   My journey in artland has been great, starting right from my childhood; torturing sir to give ideas and training me for the multiple drawing      competitions and that  continued till  my college days for magazine, notice boards, clay modelling       events, photoshops for special events etc.. and  I am sure it will continue in future too. Thank you so very much for being available and supportive all this while .   We are indebted and blessed   to be your student.   Artland to me is a pack...

My Guide...…. My Guru - Ramya Prasad

I am very happy and proud to be a part of the 25 years of Artland celebration. I have been associated with Saravana Coumar sir even before the Artland name was given.  It has been a wonderful journey with you sir. So much talking, playing around in the class, learnings…You have been guiding me in all important walks of my life. You had given me the courage to step of my comfort zone and explore many things, even going to Bhopal for my college. These have made me what I am today sir. Thank you for being who you are, a wonderful guru. So proud to be your student.         Congratulations sir for 25 years of this great passionate work and guidance you have been giving us. Looking forward to more time to spend with you sir in the future. Ramya Prasad Architect and Urban Designer Art Land’s Alumnae

My journey of art with Artland - Dr. P. Sathish Rajaa MBBS, MD

My journey with Artland dates back to 17 years.. and its very hard to believe that  our very own ARTLAND has reached its SILVER JUBILEE milestone so soon. I still remember the day when I joined Artland. The incident goes like "When you noticed me accidentally doing some sketching during the drawing period at school, you called me and said " Rajaa, you have something in you.. its time you should work more on it.. keep drawing.. not just as a hobby but take it as a passion.. you are one person who will definitely succeed in it", I had no idea what sir saw in me, yet I decided to join drawing class but the biggest   obstacle, at that moment, for me was transportation and  financial constraints. I bet no other teacher ever would have helped his student overcome both, just to see him prosper in his own passion.. be it the class timings, duration, schedule or resources. I always felt as a special child being at ARTLAND, those days were a special universe ...

ABOUT ARTLAND

Art Land Child Art Centre is a place for the budding artists to treasure out their hidden talents   and   creativity   and   help them   to spread   out their petals of perfection in fine arts. Art land   was   started in the year 1995, with   the grace of many well known artists,   trained art teachers, scholars   and   the then art students. From the day of its dawn, our intent was to   promote   art, nurturing creativity   in children and developing sensitivity towards colours and forms. As days rolled, we found a new dimension of art within the children themselves, which   not only helped   us to   make them as good artists but also to render many social messages through art, thereby   creating awareness among the public.                      ...
